Director Lee Sang-mi of LEESANG ART Co., an exhibition planning agency in Seorae Village, announced on the 30th the completion of April’s Special Exhibit and Special Experiments. LEESANG ART Co. hosted Kim Ee-jeong's Strange Love Exhibit , which is about diamonds, the birthstone of April, and eternal love, from April 16 to 25. Three contemporary artists, Kim Jin-woo, Lee Soo-yeon and Jung Doo-yeon, presented nine works on the theme of diamonds and love. 
As an exhibition event, Biduri's photography class and the 12th strange salon were held on April 20. The strange salon featured Kim Lee-jeong's strange love, "Artist Talk," and "Readers' Recital" by actors from Jongno Arts Theater. Lee Sang-art held Mother's Strange P Exhibit  at the exhibition hall of the Jongno Arts Theater in Jongno-gu, Seoul, from March 15 to April 28. A strange experimental exhibition is an exhibition organized by LEESANG ART Co. to break stereotypes about contemporary art and make new changes through various and unusual exhibitions. Artist Lee Seong, an artist and performance artist, presented a total of 15 paintings and sculptures. On March 30, he also held a performance to smash the plaster "The Nude, Dead Mask."  Lee Sang-mi, director of LEESANG ART Co., said, "We aim for a friendly and open space where we can easily enjoy modern art," adding, "April was a precious time when the public and contemporary art became closer and shared fun with each other with various (abundant) exhibitions."

An art exhibition of contemporary art that expresses April's birth stone, the diamond and Love will soon welcome the public. Exhibition agency LEESANG ART (director Lee Sang-mi) will hold Kim Lee-jeong's Strange Love Exhibit from April 16th (Tuesday) to April 25th  (Thursday). LEESANG ART in Seorae Village, Seoul, has been holding a  "Special Exhibition" each month under the theme of birth stone since November 2018. The birthstone of April is a diamond, and its meaning is eternal love. Kim Lee-jeong's Strange Love Exhibit presents nine works by three contemporary artists, Kim Jin-woo, Lee Soo-yeon and Jung Doo-yeon. Installation artist Kim Jin-woo will present  his 2019’s work "April" (No.4). This work is a humorous portrayal of human beings as diamond-hunting probe and also as beings that crave love. He also portrays images of nature, humans and machines in his works. The artist started with aesthetic curiosity about the unique properties of diamonds and the birth stones themselves, and drew them as he unfolded various imaginations. Also on display are the preparatory drawings that show the brainstorming and production process. When the audience approaches from the side, the robots installed in the work move and add fun to the viewing.  Artist Kim Jin-woo has consistently been reflecting on the origin of mankind while pursuing the discoveries and possibilities for new human beings, paying attention to machines, humans, and nature. He expresses the possibility that machines and humans can constantly communicate and live in harmony. He constantly works on fusing nature, humans and machines with the motif of "evolution" and "new humanity." 

Artist Lee Soo-yeon will display two pieces from 2018's "Embrace" and "Balance Between." and its props. Since 2010, her works have been a series that captures the process of finding herself. Most people live with different trauma, and there are also various symptoms and ways of healing.

 Artists provide healings psychologically through creation. Emotions such as fear and anxiety brought by memories from the past have been the subject of the works. Psychological reactions such as sadness and pain have become byproducts of art and developed into art works. Through this exhibition, the museum aims to present visitors with positive directions such as harmony and sublimation, away from negative by-products from the past.  In particular, "Embrace" in the size of No. 120, is mixed with various emotions. In "Balance Between," you can also meet the artist's warm heart toward love.  In order to understand the artist Lee Soo-yeon, she had to revert to her childhood memories. As a child, she went through a shocking incident caused by another person and began scribbling it. As if to record the incident, she scribbled straightforward and one dimentionally  but with it she started exploring on people.  The concept of work, which began simply as part of  psychotherapy, has gradually evolved into a comprehensive understanding for others and humans as well as for herself .
Artist Jung Doo-yeon will display two pieces, "Diamond" and "Pink Diamond," from 2019. In contrast to diamond invariance, the ever changing values of diamonds make us rethink of the eternal love that diamonds represent.  In Jung Doo-yeon's work, the possibility and meaning of change in value are greater than the unchanging nature of diamonds. The unchanging diamond is also recognized as being in the midst of change. This variable value brings up a question of whether it is possible to exist in immutability and eternity. Furthermore, if the existence of eternity is impossible, the existence of the right answer is impossible. Like the diamond market price, there are different answers in every situation.

Artist Jung Doo-yeon does not limit her work on obfuscation to texts, but expands the paradigm of obfuscation to various forms of maladjustment that contemporaries experience in everyday life amid infinitely pouring images and information. He is expanding the potential behind various outputs and opening up opportunities for growth in their potentials through a perspective that reverses the paradigm of maladjustment. 
As an extra exhibition program, Biduri's photography class will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 20.  LEESANG ART is preparing for a chance to learn how to take good pictures with a smartphone with the artist Biduri. Beginning in 2003, Biduri went through all the cameras, from the ticking camera to the DSLR. He also guides people on how to take good pictures on SNS with their smartphonesThe 12th Special Salon will then be held at 3 p.m. on April 20. Artists participating in Kim Lee-jeong's Strange Love Exhibit , including Kim Jin-woo, Lee Soo-yeon, and Jung Doo-yeon's "Artist Talk" and "Reader’s Concert" by Hong Soo-young and other actors at the Jongno Arts Theater, will be held. Once a month, LEESANG ART has been hosting a Strange Salon under the motto of strengthening it’s member’s social contribution while discussing philosophy, literature and art through high-quality exchanges with lecturers in various professional fields.

3 contemporary artists relight true love

Exhibition agency LEESANG ART (director Lee Sang-mi) will hold Kim Lee-jeong's Special Love Exhibit  with  Diamond, the birth stone of April, from April 16th (Tuesday) to April 25th (Thursday). LEESANG ART, located in Seorae Village in Seoul, was launched as an LEESANG  Art Institute in Paris, France, in 2010. It provides exhibition planning and operation services through collaboration with various cultural and art fields and is dynamically expanding its boundaries. Since November 2018, LEESANG ART has been holding  "Special Exhibitions" in series. In order to share its founding vision  -  “the implementation of value of ideal art’ with more art lovers, LEESANG ART chose “birthstone” as the theme of the upcoming year’s project. Every life has its own "time" of birth. Each month is represented by a birthstone, a special gem that brings good luck to it. LEESANG ART offers people time that is as precious as gems through an exhibition of artworks by artists who polish themselves to become shiny gem stones that produce special light. 
Kim Lee-jeong's Special Love Exhibit presents nine pieces of artwork by three contemporary artists Kim Jin-woo, Lee Soo-yeon and Jung Doo-yeon, who are active in various genres such as installation and painting. The exhibition will have the theme of "Diamond," the birthstone of April, and its meaning, "Eternal Love." Time flows and changes endlessly but this exhibit will fill the exhibition hall with new artworks specially created for the occasion with artists’ interpretation of love and diamonds with everlasting persistence in them.

 It also includes small artworks that are traded at relatively affordable prices. The exhibition's extra programs include “the Exhibition Docent Tours” to help public appreciate contemporary art at their eye level, "Artist Talk," to understand the contemporary art works through direct meetings with artists, and "The Strange Reading Concert " with the participation of the leading actors at the Jongno ArtsTheater, which is currently preforming in great success in the play “Leaders”. 
 Lee Sang-mi, director of LEESANG ART Co. said, "We will prepare various programs in addition to main exhibitions so that everyone who finds art difficult can enjoy art in a friendly, open space. We hope this exhibition will be a gem-like opportunity for the public and contemporary art to get closer and share joy."

이상아트 4월 이상한 전시, 이상한 실험전 성료

서래마을에 있는 전시기획사 이상아트(관장 이상미)가 4월 이상한 전시와 이상한 실험전을 성료했다고 30일 밝혔다.

이상아트는 4월 탄생석인 다이아몬드와 영원한 사랑을 주제로 하는 김이정의 이상한 사랑展을 4월 16일부터 25일까지 개최했다. 3명의 현대미술 작가 김진우, 이수연, 정두연이 다이아몬드와 사랑을 주제로 9점의 작품을 선보였다. 

전시 부대행사로 4월 20일 비두리의 사진수업과 제12회 이상한 살롱이 열렸다. 이상한 살롱은 김이정의 이상한 사랑展 <아티스트 토크>와 종로예술극장의 연극배우들이 들려주는 <리더스 낭독회> 등이 진행됐다. 

이상아트는 제1회 이상한 실험전으로 엄마의 이상한 P展을 서울 종로구에 있는 종로예술극장 전시장에서 3월 15일부터 4월 28일까지 개최했다. 이상한 실험전은 다양하고 특이한 전시를 통해 현대 미술에 대한 고정관념을 깨고 새로운 변화를 주기 위해 이상아트가 마련한 전시이다.

화가이자 행위예술가인 이성 작가가 회화, 조각 등 총 15점을 선보였다. 3월 30일 석고작품 ‘나체, 죽은 마스크’(The Nude, Dead mask) 부수기 퍼포먼스를 열기도 했다.

이상미 이상아트 관장은 “이상아트는 현대미술을 쉽게 즐길 수 있는 친근하고 열린 공간을 지향한다”며 “4월은 다채로운 전시로 대중과 현대미술이 더 가까워지고 즐거움을 나눈 보석 같은 시간이었다"라고 전했다.

현대미술로 표현한 4월 탄생석 ‘다이아몬드’와 ‘사랑’

현대미술로 표현한 4월의 탄생석 다이아몬드와 사랑에 대한 미술 전시가 대중들을 만난다.

전시기획사 이상아트(관장 이상미)는 김이정의 이상한 사랑展을 4월 16일(화)부터 25일(목)까지 개최한다. 

서울 서래마을에 있는 이상아트는 지난 2018년 11월부터 매달 탄생석을 주제로 <이상(理想)한 전시>展을 열고 있다. 

4월의 탄생석은 다이아몬드이고, 그 의미는 영원한 사랑이다. 김이정의 이상한 사랑展은 3명의 현대미술 작가 김진우, 이수연, 정두연이 9점의 작품을 선보인다.

설치미술가 김진우는 2019년작 ‘April’(No.4)을 전시한다. 이 작품은 다이아몬드를 찾아다니는 탐사선인 동시에 사랑을 찾아 갈망하는 인간의 모습을 해학적으로 표현한다. 또한 자연, 인간, 기계의 모습을 작품에 투영하고 있다. 작가는 다이아몬드가 갖고 있는 고유의 물성과 탄생석이라는 그 자체에 대한 미학적 호기심에서 출발해 다양한 상상의 나래를 펼치면서 드로잉을 했다. 작품 구상과 제작 과정을 담은 이 드로잉도 함께 전시된다. 관객이 옆으로 다가서면 작품에 설치된 로봇들은 움직이며 관람의 재미를 더한다. 

김진우 작가는 인류의 근원에 대한 성찰과 ‘기계’, ‘인간’, ‘자연’에 관심을 두고 신인류에 대한 발견과 가능성을 일관되게 추구해왔다. 기계와 인간이 끊임없이 소통하며 화합해 나갈 수도 있다는 가능성을 표현하고 있다. ‘진화’ 그리고 ‘신인류’를 모티브로 자연과 인간, 기계를 융합하는 작업을 하고 있다.

화가 이수연은 2018년작 ‘포옹’과 ‘사이의 균형’ 두 점과 소품들을 전시한다. 그의 2010년부터 이어진 시리즈 작품들은 자아를 찾기 위한 일련의 표현 과정이었다. 대부분의 사람들은 각기 다른 외상을 갖고 살아가며 그 증상과 해소 방법 또한 다양하다. 예술가들은 창작을 통해 심리적인 치유를 한다. 과거의 기억이 가져다준 공포와 불안 같은 감정들은 작품의 주제가 되었다. 슬픔, 고통과 같은 심리 작용이 예술 활동 가운데 부산물이 되어 작업으로 전이되어 왔다. 이번 전시를 통해 과거의 부산물에서 벗어나 화합과 승화와 같은 긍정적인 방향성을 관람객들에게 제시하고자 한다. 특히 ‘포옹’은 120호 크기로 여러 감정들이 뒤섞여있다. ‘사이의 균형’에서는 사랑에 대한 작가에 따뜻한 마음도 만나볼 수 있다.

이수연 작가를 이해하기 위해서는 유년기 시절의 기억으로 되돌아가야 한다. 어린 시절 타인으로 인한 충격적인 사건을 겪고 이를 낙서하기 시작했다. 사건을 기록하듯 직설적이고 일차원의 낙서를 하며 사람에 대한 탐구가 시작됐다. 단순한 심리치료의 일환으로 시작된 작업 개념은 점점 자신뿐만이 아닌 타인, 인간에 대한 포괄적인 개념으로 발전하게 됐다. 

화가 정두연은 2019년작 ‘Diamond’와 ‘Pink Diamond’ 두 점을 전시한다. 다이아몬드의 불변성과 상반되게 시시각각 변화하는 다이아몬드의 시세는 다이아몬드가 의미하는 영원한 사랑에 대해 다시 생각하게 한다. 정두연의 작품에서 다이아몬드의 불변적 성질보다 가치의 변화가 가지는 가능성과 의미가 더 크게 다가온다. 불변의 다이아몬드도 변화 속에서 존재를 인정받는다. 이런 변동적 가치는 불변과 영원이란 것에 존재가 가능한가라는 질문을 만들어낸다. 나아가 영원의 존재가 불가능하다면, 정답의 존재도 불가능하다. 다이아몬드의 시세처럼 시시각각 상황마다 다른 답이 존재한다. 

정두연 작가는 난독에 대한 작업을 문자에 국한시키지 않고, 무한히 쏟아지는 이미지와 정보 속에서 동시대인들이 일상에서 경험하는 다양한 형태의 부적응의 상황으로 난독의 패러다임을 확장시키고 있다. 그는 부적응에 대한 패러다임을 반전시키는 투시적인 시선을 통해 다양한 출력이 갖고 있는 이면의 가능성을 확장시키고 그 가능성의 성장 기회를 열어나가고 있다.

전시 부대 프로그램으로 4월 20일(토) 오전 11시 비두리의 사진 수업이 열린다. 이상아트는 비두리 작가와 함께 스마트폰으로 좋은 사진을 찍는 기술을 배워보는 유익한 시간을 마련했다. 비두리 작가는 2003년부터 사진을 시작해 똑딱이 카메라부터 DSLR까지 모든 카메라를 거쳤다. 작가는 스마트폰으로도 충분히 SNS 사진 잘 찍는 방법을 안내한다. 

이어 4월 20일(토) 오후 3시에는 제12회 이상한 살롱이 열린다. 김이정의 이상한 사랑展 참여작가인 김진우, 이수연, 정두연의 <아티스트 토크>와 극단 종로예술극장의 홍수영 및 연극배우들이 들려주는 <리더스 낭독회> 등이 진행된다. 이상아트는 매달 한 번씩 다양한 전문분야의 강연자와의 수준 높은 질적 교류를 통해 철학이나 문학, 예술을 논하면서 사회 공헌적인 구성원의 측면을 강화시키자는 모토로 이상한 살롱을 진행하고 있다.

서울 서래마을에 있는 이상아트는 2010년 프랑스 파리에서 이상 미술연구소로 출범했다. 다양한 문화 예술 분야와의 협업을 통한 전시 기획 및 운영 서비스를 제공하며 그 경계를 역동적으로 확장해 나가고 있다. 

이상아트는 지난 2018년 11월부터 릴레이로 <이상(理想)한 전시>展을 개최하고 있다. 이상아트의 설립 이념인 ‘이상적인 예술의 가치 구현’이라는 비전을 더 많은 예술 애호가들과 나누고자 이번 연간기획 주제로 ‘탄생석’을 선정했다. 

모든 생명에는 태어난 ‘시’(時)가 존재한다. 매달마다 행운을 가져다주는 특별한 보석인 탄생석이 있다. 이상아트는 빛나는 보석이 되기 위해 자신을 갈고닦아 특별한 빛을 내는 작가들의 작품 전시를 통해 현대인들에게 보석 같은 귀한 시간을 선사한다. 

김이정의 이상한 사랑展은 설치, 회화 등 다양한 장르에서 활발한 활동을 하는 3명의 현대미술 작가 김진우, 이수연, 정두연이 9점의 작품을 선보인다. 

전시는 4월의 탄생석인 ‘다이아몬드‘와 그 의미인 ‘영원한 사랑’을 주제로 구성된다. 시간은 끝없이 흐르고 변화하지만 그 안에서 영원한 지속성을 가진 다이아몬드와 사랑에 대한 작가적 해석으로 이번 전시를 위해 특별 제작한 신작품들로 전시관을 가득 채운다. 이외에도 비교적 부담 없는 가격에 거래되는 소품들을 포함한다.

전시 부대 프로그램으로는 대중들의 눈높이에 맞춘 현대미술 감상을 익히는 <전시 도슨트 투어>, 현대미술 작가와의 만남을 통해 작품을 이해하는 <아티스트 토크>, 현재 성황리에 진행중인 종로예술극장의 연극 리더스의 주연 배우들의 참여로 <이상한 낭독회> 등이 전시기간 동안 진행된다.
