Alice Yu's solo exhibition, an annual exhibition organized by LEESANG ART SPACE, will mark the end of a special project that has been held every month since July 2017. The purpose of this project was to continuously support young Korean artists so that they can actively communicate with the world and grow their motivation for artistic achievement.
Through this exhibition, the artist will present 15 paintings that have endured the past 10 years in one place. The artist wanted to capture the individual's emotions and inner landscape that emerges in their relationship with others on the screen, and portray a unique form of figures and landscapes created by mixing abstract and conceptual elements.
Alice Yu seeks to discover new possibilities for her own life by sharing the moments of her own life with those who saw the various emotions that followed. This exhibition will provide an honest space to take a look at the artist's original life, which has been sublimated into her work as a direct experience and healing process.
Alice Yu (b.1989, real name Tak Min-kyung) is a talented female artist who has been steadily working on her work since graduating from Ewha Womans University's Western Painting Department. During the exhibition, a special forum by producer Ryu In-soo, who is currently working as an incumbent broadcasting producer, will be held at the main exhibition hall at 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 21.
